Between 2007 and 2009 the Ljubljana municipality has, under the guidance of deputy-mayor, professor Janez Koželj, and in cooperation with the ProstoRož society, renovated a few old house fronts, new buildings and executed some other interventions into the Ljubljana urban space. A large share of these interventions took place in the city center, where the Slovenska cesta road, also the location of Kontrastika’s headquarters, has been the city’s main lifeline for centuries. Various interventions and events made Slovenska cesta a “street on the road”, especially during Slovenian presidency of the EU. We did our best to make sure that this book is typographically truly perfect, as it focuses on everything that made this road a street, described in text and photos.
